In many cultures one takes great pride in the way they appear. Accounting for dauntless hours and pounds of makeup pressed against their skin. But recently people have begun to embrace an art of making makeup not beautiful, but underlying the ugly things within us. Ravenous beasts that once hid behind white, powered faces. Causing people to ask, who are you behind it all? This art though has become a new craze though between horror movies and zombies sweeping the nation. Maybe one day we will all come to school showing off appearances such as this, only time will tell.

Becoming someone new
As a child I was always told you couldn't change the way you are. But one day, around the age of 6, I stumbled along my grandfather's Cowboy Hat and then thought I was the wildest crook the world had ever seen. It was pretty funny. Finding a hat allowed me to minorly change who I was, without making it drastic, as well as become more imaginative. It allows expression and love in the minds of many sports or video game fans. Whether it's cheering the Sox or Cubs on, or becoming a Pokemon master and saving Zelda from Ganadorf all over again. Hats keep us warm and create joys in many normal people and cosplayers. And if you think of it in an olden sense, hats were once a statement of higher class. So I'll enjoy and thrive in my hat collection. (These are 11 of my 25 hats)

In addition to my coloring thoughts...
To elaborate more on my thoughts of coloring; I believe that if we had all colored in silence it would still have been fun and enjoyable. The music though unique was good, maybe without the music or us all talking it could have been awkward. Although it was supposed to be a quieting exercise to enjoy the small remainder of childhood we have left...I think that it allowed us as a class to blossom and open up to one another. Whereas if we were all silent, we may have colored faster, more intently, or relieved some sort of stress someone may have been feeling, it could have also opened a strange, empty void. In all reality we will never know, but I'm glad class went the way it did. :)

Reflection of Friday and Weekend Coloring
Personally, being able to color in class for an assignment was one of the most relaxing and fun things that I have done in a very long time. I love crayons, but colored pencils are a good medium to use as well. I think even though coloring in silence is therapeutic, the 5 of us coloring and talking together allows a bonding to occur that we wouldn't normally have in another class. It creates us into a family. The acoustics were not really my kind of music but they were very unique. I believe that coloring could be a type of writing, because it is very expressive in what we feel and wish to project. Hope you guys are enjoying the weekend!
